Parking for Shopping Malls

Clearing the exit queue, tenant validation and anti-fraud control

A mall car park is measured by two numbers: how fast the queue clears at the exit and how much revenue never reaches the till. Both are decided by configuration, not by hardware brand.

Where the queue actually comes from

If everyone pays at the exit, every car spends an extra minute at the barrier. On a Saturday afternoon that is enough to block the ramp. The fix is not a faster barrier — it is moving payment to the moment when the customer is still walking to the car. That is what payment kiosks in the hall are for.

How many lanes and kiosks you need is calculated from peak flow, not from the number of spaces. If you have visitor statistics for weekends, the calculation is straightforward.

Tenant validation

A tenant — a shop, a cinema, a restaurant — confirms parking for its customer: scans the QR code from the ticket or enters a code in its own interface. The system reduces the price or zeroes it completely.

Every validation is logged, so at the end of the month you get a report showing how many parking hours each tenant wrote off. You re-invoice those costs on facts, not on arguments about who used what.

Tariffs

The tariff grid is fully configurable: free first minutes so people can collect an order, separate day and night rates, weekend rules, subscriptions for mall staff. Tariffs are changed in the interface — no installer visit required.

Anti-fraud

A set of checks that make sure nobody leaves without paying: the plate is compared at entry and exit, time inside is controlled, tailgating attempts are recorded, and every manual barrier opening by an operator is logged.

On a small car park you can live without this. On mall traffic these details are exactly where the money goes — and most often not because of visitors, but because of manual openings from the inside.

Prices

  • Full set for one entry and exit — from €4,000.
  • Barriers already installed — control part only, from €2,000.
  • Payment kiosk — €1,000, with a bill acceptor €200 more. Malls usually need more than one.
  • Cloud infrastructure and updates — from €200 per month.

Send a parking layout and, if you have it, weekend traffic data — we will propose a configuration and price it.

Common questions

How many kiosks does a mall need?

It depends on peak flow rather than floor area. The rule of thumb is a separate lane per entrance plus self-service kiosks in the hall, so that payment never happens at the barrier.

Can tenants have different validation rules?

Yes — for example two free hours from one tenant and a fixed discount from another. All of it lands in the same monthly report.

What about power cuts?

An uninterruptible power supply is included in the set, and the controller keeps tariffs and access rules locally, so the car park keeps operating without internet as well.
